This Week: Resilience, SFMTA Board, Session Fest

Here is a list of events this week.

  • Tuesday Managing Disasters and Community Resilience. Join SPUR for a discussion with Ana Miscolta, director of Community Resilience at Thrive, to learn about their work in San Mateo County and about how you can support disaster preparedness in your community. Tuesday, July 18, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Register for Zoom link.
  • Tuesday SFMTA Board of Directors Meeting. Members of the public are invited to observe the meeting in-person or remotely online. Tuesday, July 18, starts at 1 p.m., Room 400, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, S.F.
  • Wednesday Potrero Yard Tour. Join a tour for a behind-the-scenes look at how a transit yard works and see why the SFMTA says the 108-year-old yard needs to be rebuilt. Wednesday, July 19, 3 p.m., Potrero Yard, 2500 Mariposa Street, S.F.
  • Thursday Ride with a Supervisor, D2. The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and Northern Neighbors are hosting a bike ride through District 2 with Supervisor Stefani’s office and SFMTA staff members. Thursday, July 20, 6-7:30 p.m., Arsicault Bakery, 397 Arguello Blvd., S.F.
  • Saturday Smart City Cycling. Join the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition for a guided group ride to practice street-riding skills on increasingly high-volume streets. Smart City Cycling 2: Maneuvering is a prerequisite. Saturday, July 22, 12-3 p.m., Arguello Extension, Arguello Blvd and Lincoln Way, S.F.
  • Saturday Session Fest. Eat, drink and be merry at Bike East Bay's annual fund raiser. Saturday, July 22, 1-5 p.m. Snow Park, Harrison St and 19th St, Lakeside Dr, Oakland.
