- Tuesday Powell Plaza Cable Car Activation. Hop onboard a 150-year-old cable car at Powell Plaza. Visitors can take photos, explore the vehicles up close, learn some history about the national landmark and have their questions answered by SFMTA’s cable car ambassadors. Tuesday, January 9, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Powell St & Market Street, S.F.
- Tuesday Reporting Potholes and other Hazards. Potholes, malfunctioning traffic signals, broken glass in the road. These issues and more are bad news for everyone, but especially for folks on bikes. At this 1-hour workshop Bike East Bay will share resources, tips, and tricks you can use to send in effective hazard reports and get issues in your neighborhood fixed. Tuesday, January 9, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Bike East Bay, 466 Water Street, Oakland.
- Wednesday Geary Community Advisory Committee Meeting. The Geary CAC provides input to SFMTA’s project team on the Geary Rapid Project and the Geary Boulevard Improvement Project. Wednesday, January 10, 6 p.m. Contact SFMTA for information on how to attend. 415-646-2300, ImproveGeary@SFMTA.com
- Friday Woman and Non-Binary Morning Ride. Join the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition for a socially distanced bike ride for women & nonbinary cyclists. Friday, January 12, 7:15-8:45 a.m. McLaren Lodge, 501 Stanyan Street, S.F.
- Saturday Biking with Children. This San Francisco Bicycle Coalition workshop is presented in collaboration with the SF Safe Routes to School Partnership. Saturday, January 13, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Natural Resources, 1051 Valencia Street, S.F. Register to attend.
- Sunday Urban Cycling 101, Road Class. Bring your own working bike and helmet to class. Completion of Bike East Bay’s Urban Cycling 101 Classroom Workshop, The League’s Smart Cycling Course, or equivalent is a prerequisite. Sunday, January 14, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Register for more details.
